Take a Coach to College - Most comprehensive
For high school seniors who have lived with and received treatment for their ADHD/ADD diagnosis, the transition to college carries a level of awareness and perhaps even some fear that their neurotypical peers might not fully grasp. It’s the realization that the scaffolding—parents, IEPs, and structured routines—is about to fall away, leaving them to manage a rigorous academic load and a brand-new social life all on their own.
Take a Coach to College bridges this gap by starting the work and building ADHD awareness when stress levels are low: the summer before freshman year.
After the initial Discovery session and on-boarding, the Bring a Coach to College program includes:
Four 60-minute summer sessions (2 in June, 2 in July) for establishing the coaching relationship, exploring campus portals to understand the hidden components and features of a Learning Management System, exploring the student’s “task Initiation” challenges, the primary Executive Function deficit experienced by folks with ADHD, and to explore and practice strategies that may work for the student.
A 2-hour “Launch Session” in early August to identify values that will help shape their vision of success, commit to goals, and create a vision of the successful future self to be used during future coaching sessions.
15 weekly, 60 minute coaching sessions throughout the entire semester
2 weekly 10-minute accountability check-ins for the entire semester
Unlimited daily spot-coaching
2 weekly 90-minute, peer-led virtual body doubling study sessions to anchor follow through on academic planning.
Within the first two weeks of the semester, we provide a time management accommodation and populate a digital calendar with every due date, quiz, test, paper, and homework assignment to create a visual roadmap of academic priorities with digital notifications delivered in advance. The difference this makes to a student with “time blindness” is irrefutable.
A motivation and celebration package spaced throughout the semester
